simTrade Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how simTrade collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile applications and website, including versions distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Last updated: 21 November 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how simTrade (“simTrade”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with our paper-trading applications and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using simTrade on Apple iOS (via the App Store) or Android (via Google Play), or by using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide to us
Depending on how you use simTrade, you may provide us with:
- Account details – such as a display name, email address, or password if account creation is offered.
- Support information – information you include in emails or messages when you contact us for help (for example screenshots or device details).
- In-app preferences – settings, preferences, or configuration options you adjust within the app.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:
- Device and app information – device type, operating system and version, language, app version, approximate time zone.
- Usage data – in-app screens viewed, features used, time spent in the app, and basic interaction events (for example, starting a demo or creating simulated trades).
- Log information – diagnostic data, crash logs, and performance metrics that help us keep the Service reliable and secure.
On Apple devices, some diagnostics and usage data may be provided to us via Apple’s developer tools and frameworks, subject to your device settings. On Android devices, similar data may be made available through Google Play and related Google services.
1.3 No real trading or banking data
simTrade is a paper-trading simulator. It does not execute real orders, connect to your brokerage account, or request access to your banking credentials. Any balances or trades shown in the app are simulated and do not correspond to real funds unless you separately choose to track them.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service – ensuring the app functions as intended across iOS and Android devices.
- To improve and personalize the experience – understanding which features are useful so we can refine the app, content, and interface.
- To communicate with you – sending important notices about changes to the Service or responding to support requests.
- To maintain security – monitoring for abuse, troubleshooting technical issues, and protecting against fraudulent or malicious activity.
- To comply with legal obligations – responding to lawful requests and enforcing our terms, where required.
3. Third-party services
simTrade may use third-party tools and services to support the app, such as analytics, crash reporting, or cloud hosting. These providers may process limited technical data about your device and app usage on our behalf and are contractually obligated to handle it securely and only for the purposes we specify.
In addition, when you download simTrade from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google may independently collect and process information about you in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control their data handling. You can review their policies directly:
- Apple: App Store & Apple Privacy policies available via your iOS device or apple.com
- Google: Google Play & Google Privacy policies available via your Android device or policies.google.com
4. Data storage and retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Technical logs and aggregated analytics data may be stored for a longer period for security, troubleshooting, and product analysis.
5. Children’s privacy

If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@simtrade.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
6. International data transfers
simTrade may process and store information on servers located in different countries. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your own, which may have different data-protection laws. We take steps to protect your information in accordance with this Policy wherever it is processed.
7. Your choices and rights
Your rights may vary depending on your jurisdiction, but may include the right to:
- Access certain information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of information, subject to our legal obligations;

To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@simtrade.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
